Discover Northampton Grande Finale
On Monday 1 October, the Discover Northampton grand finale exhibition and fashion show was a great success, at the Royal & Derngate.
The exhibition was great, with artists and businesses set up side by side in the foyer, showcasing their work and what they have to offer. In the fashion show there were lots of amazing local designers with their Autumn/ Winter collections, as well as high street stores.
A film was played to kick off the Fashion show, introducing the recent 'Discover Northampton' art trail, across Northampton town centre in participating businesses, throughout September 2012. The film was created by local documentary film maker Kevin Stoney, who did a great job interviewing the artists, businesses and general public about the project.
I was filmed in my studio talking about my art work and involvement in the art trail. I exhibited in ALQ Limited, an independent clothing boutique on St Giles Street. I was a bit nervous being filmed, because I usually prefer to be on the other side of the camera! However Kevin did a great job, so I will definitely post a link to the film as soon as it's up on the web!
