Starlight the elephant
I recently found out that the design I submitted last October, for the Safari Northampton/ Wild in Art public art event, has been sponsored by Northampton BID.
So I have been given a huge fibreglass elephant, and a month, to create my ambitious light sculpture!
I'l be posting pictures of my progress along the way, here's a few pics of where I'm up to now...
So far I've sanded, painted a few coats of white gloss, drilled the holes in place for the rope lighting to fit through, and made custom inserts by cutting, filing and sanding some plastic pipe inserts to fit the holes. I still have a lot to do...so I'l post another update and more pictures soon.
